About Whirlybird


My name is Christy White, and I am the owner and chef of Whirlybird Granola. I started Whirlybird with the goal of sharing my love for such a great food everyone I could. I was 27 years old at the time, and I was also working for a large corporation. When I would get home from work at night, I would experiment with hundreds of ingredients and baking techniques. I visited local maple syrup farms to find the best product I could. After 4 months of experimenting, I finally decided on 4 different flavors: Original, Vanilla Berry, Chocolate and Gingerbread. 

Right around the same time I was kicking off Whirlybird Granola at markets in downtown Cincinnati, I found out that I was pregnant with twin boys. It was the most wonderful summer selling granola, meeting lovely people, and nourishing my two little birds with lots of Whirlybird Granola.

I had the Nolan and Garrett in October and left my job at the large corporation to put my heart into being a mom and into making this delicious granola and sharing it with others. I will honestly tell you that ever since then, life has been a whirlwind. I have never been happier or busier in my life.

My family is the heart and soul of this operation. My husband is my right hand man setting up booths for me at every event and making all of this possible. My dad is in the kitchen with me making every batch of granola. My mom is at every event and is even selling my granola in her salon. My sisters and brother are helping me sell granola at markets and supporting me every day. If you have ever visited a market, you have undoubtedly seen one or all members of my family. They are amazing.

So, here I am today, selling my favorite food in the world, and I couldn’t be happier. Every batch is still made the way it was when I started. It is all 100% handmade in small batches to ensure that every bite tastes homemade. It is all natural with no artificial preservatives or processing. So go ahead and give it a whirl!
